UNESCO-Water Future Public Discussion Series: Water Security in the age of COVID-19

The coronavirus pandemic is disrupting every facet of human life in 212 Countries and Territories around the world. Water is a key element in mitigating the crisis Against this background, the UNESCO-Water Future public discussion webinar series hosted by the UNESCO Division of water sciences and Water Future will bring together leading voices in this field, to deliberate on the state of water security during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The scope of the webinar will be to understand current water, health, and economic risks associated with COVID 19, predict the future of water security, adaptation mechanisms in the post-COVID 19 era, role of digitization, global science initiatives and international organizations. COVID-19. The discussion will focus around understanding the current water crisis, and the health and economic risks associated with COVID 19.
